(Also, this was protesting a soldiers death, not like killing an abortion Doc, or crashing planes into the WTC.) I have protested the pointless and endless death in Iraq on mutiple occasions, actually tomorrow Bush will be in California and I am going out to "un-welcome" him, his deaths and his war. I have never protested these deaths at a funneral, but I do think it's an interesting idea. None should disrespect the dead or the families, but I could see showing up and standing in quiet with an anti-war shirt and some flowers.

I didn't get that you were saying that you saw footage of them protesting, When I said "I don't think ever happened" That was based on the story I found, then I figured you had seen a story about how they were planning to do it ....
2006-04-22 [zoloftzantac]: *I* would never protest at a funneral, but I do think the idea could be interesting, however I was thinking along the lines of being queit and respectful while wearing a T-shirt that says something like "war sucks" to me that seems very, very diffeant than holding a big sign that says this the soldier in this grave is going to hell ... who ever had signs saying stuff like that was clearly an asshole.

This guy, Pastor Fred Phelps, is pretty nuts, but he is not anti-war tho, he is anti-gays and he protests because he is angry that the US Military has a "don't ask - don't tell" policy about homosexuality.

Whether it be incest leading to birth defects, or anal sex leading to tearing. Times change. We have the technology to deal with these things. That is how I view it. It was for our protection in social and physical situations.
